• Overview
  Ballooning is a very social activity, and GEBA promotes the friendship and socialization aspects through a  number of events and activities  These are geographically located so as to equalize travel time for the multi-state membership.
• General Meetings
  Regular association meetings are held in February, May and November.
  Traditionally, these are on a Sunday afternoon, beginning with a (light) luncheon. In addition to association business, meetings either feature a special speaker, program or are held at location that correlates to aviation and/or ballooning.
• Annual Dinner Dance
  This event features good food, music, dancing, friendship and year end recognition for members, including:   Competition, Photo contest, Torok Sportsmanship award, and Decker Crew Scholarship awards.   For a list of previous recipients, see the "recognition page".
• Picnics
  The club hosts several picnics throughout the flying season, providing an opportunity for members to gather, socialize, and fly (weather permitting).
